Hey there all!

I'm curious about natural looking enclosures. Has anyone ever used one? I have no experience with birds and so i'm ignorant and curious :). Are there dangers involved, even if all plants are bird safe and it is kept clean?

Any input is appreciated :)

Thanks,
Graeme

I'm not sure what you mean by "natural looking enclosure" but I'm planning on building a small aviary for Auggie if we buy the home I'm looking at.

The safety issues I could think of are:
-as you mentioned plants should be non-toxic
-must be fully enclosed, to keep birdies in and squirrels and other critters out
-appropriate ventilation, enough for fresh air, not so much as to get cold

Other than that, what's different between a big cage and a 'natural looking enclosure'? I suppose part of that question is due to the fact that I'm not sure what you are referring to. Have you seen one advertised, or are you planning on building one?
