I would say stainless steal. Stainless steal in general is very easy to clean. I have powder coated cages that clean easily, but many powder coats get some rust over time. Parrot droppings also seem harder to get off IMO, I have to scrub Kenji's grate everyday so it doesn't build up.

I have never researched aluminum cages and don't know.

Well, right now Copper's cage is the easiest for me to clean.....because I don't have to do it ! ! !

I have a white powercoat and find it easy to clean because I can see all the yucky stuff that needs to be removed.

Stainless steel by far is the easiest. They can take the intense scrubbing needed to remove the concrete of parrot poop and still stay looking new. I can power wash my SS cages outside and after taking a towel to take off water spots and letting it dry in the sun they look beautiful. They are easier to detail wash with bleach to help kill the nasties because I can easily wash off the bleach so none remains on the cage.

I have a Kings 406 SS bought in 2002 and a Freedom Deltona I bought in 2001 and both cages are still in excellent shape despite my harsh cleaning methods.

I had a white powder coat Kings cage that was very well made bought when I took my Noble macaw home in 1995. I replaced it in 2001 because he was a paint peeler and my cleaning ruined the grate. I had a green powder coated cage for the Eclectus bought in 2000 and that one seemed to take my cleaning ritual better but I only had it for 5 years. After Joaquin died I ended up giving the cage to my friend who has it in her living room and uses it for her smaller birds play cage in the evenings. It still looks like the same condition I gave it to her in. That particular powder coat has held up well over the years. Yes, there is some wear with the sliding out of tray and grate but all in all the paint is lasting well.

Stainless steel is the way to go IMHO because it last freaking forever and is the easiest to clean. I still own my 2001 and 2002 cage and will probably never have to replace them. SS is expensive but I have more than gotten my money worth. I can't replace them for what I paid for them. Used....the King 406 SS my breeder is asking a grand for. I paid $1500 for mine brand new in 2002.

no cage is easy to clean..whatever be the kind of cage you have with your parrots, whether its aviary type or small type, if you're not happy on cleaning or what you do then it will be hard to clean. its all about dedication and love of parrot that makes it easier.. just an opinion..lol

well someone already said it but, none! i do have a few stainless steels and they are the easiest to clean imo, but really they are all difficult. CAges ahve little nooks and krannies that are so hard to get into and so on... but honestly powder coated cages clean nicely to its just a matter that cages are an effort to clean no matter what.

All my cages are white powder coated. Some are easier to clean than others. I really half think it's the type of bird rather than the material of the cage. Our Mealy Amazon's cage is HARD to get the bottom grate clean compared to my Conure's and Macaw's cages. The Mealy's fecal matter dries and hardens a lot different than my other birds.

One thing worth mentioning, I have come across a new product for us to use. It is called, "AviClean". You simple mist it on the cage bars, let it sit 10-15 seconds and wipe it off.... that's all it's to it. It's a VERY safe product to use AND it works. It has an enzyme in it to break down fecal matter and even caked on food. I HIGHLY recommend giving it a try.
