What makes a good night time cage?

My new senegal, Leo, seems to be affected by even the small amount of lights that stay lit on the second (main) floor of the house after sundown. When he's out of quarantine, it'll be even worse, since now he's in one of the less-trafficked areas of the second floor and the bird room is a little busier (Goofy seems to just sleep right through the noise if we keep the lights very low, but I'm trying to convince MrC that maybe we want to move him downstairs at night as well). I'm setting up a second cage on the first floor to move him to at night. I'm pretty sure he doesn't need the kinds of toys that he needs for his main cage, but I want to make sure I don't miss anything.

So far what I plan on putting in it are:

-Sufficient perches for him to move around
-One or two toys so if he wakes before I can get him moved, he doesn't get bored.
-Food and water bowls

The cage is going to go in an area downstairs that is really dark at night, but has a large, east facing window to catch the morning light.

Does that sound okay? Is there anything else I need to be thinking of?

Hi sounds all good to me except the East facing window or don't you like sleeping? You stand to be woken very early throughout some parts of the year. Is that OK with you? Helps if the toys are favourites in my experience. It is draught free isnt it?

My high schoolers are up at 5:30am to get to class by 7. I'm normally up for a few hours and then take a late morning nap. Unfortunately, the only other place that might get reasonably dark at night that's not a high traffic area has a street light right outside the window and the curtains don't really block out the light. The summer might be an issue, but I can keep up the school year schedule, taking a nap once the rest of the house wakes up. I kind of like the early morning quiet. Might be good for me to get into that schedule.
