Outside cage

I'd like to buy a cage to place outside on our porch so my Quaker can get some fresh air and sunlight. I have occasionally pushed his cage out there but it's a large cage and extremely awkward to move through the house.
What size should it be? It would only be used for time spent outside.
Does anyone do this? Can I see your outdoor cages?

I have a very simple cage that my JoJo loves, 15x15x21. It was almost new and I picked it up for 5 bucks! When I am working outside, I carry it from spot to spot. I always keep an assortment of goodies in there so JoJo loves to play in it inside the house were I store it. Since it is made to pop apart with simple pressure, I reinforced all points with tyewraps.

I'm kicking myself because I had at least 3 other smaller cages that I've gotten rid of. Two of them were really, really nice. I have a problem hoarding cages! Lol. My husband begged me to get rid of some because I always end up saying "Can we get a ___? I already have a cage for it!" And a week after we get whatever pet I asked for, I say the cage isn't big enough and we make or buy a bigger one. :)

My outside cage is absolutely too small, but! Tonight JoJo sat with me as I scrubbed down the trampoline and then went next door to hang with my BFFL neighbor. She called to everyone and had a grand old time!

That's another thing I was wondering, how important cage size would be if it was only used outdoors for a short time.

One thing to keep in mind, simple cages have simple doors and feeding trays. Quakers are smart little escape artists! You will want to do a modification!

Would there be any problem keeping his cage permanently next to our front door? My husband said that we could always just move his cage from the corner it's in now to a spot by the door to make it easier to pull out onto the porch.
I feel like I've read somewhere that that's not an ideal spot...?

My Sun has two play stands on my back porch....it's fully screened, so no chance of escape. He spends most all day out there and loves it. We live in Florida, so we use it most days all year round. One table top stand with food and water cups and one hanging contraption which he loves.:orange:
