Help with assembly

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with putting this cage together? I received it today with zero instructions, and a slew of screws in different sizes. I've already reached out to the seller, but haven't heard anything as of yet. I figured I'd try hear to see if anyone has found themselves in the same situation. I've got the cage parts scattered around my living room, and I'd like to put it together as soon as possible.

Contact the seller and they commonly have the assembly instructions and can Email them /it to you.

The process of assembly is fairly straight forward if you want to start while you are waiting for the instructions. The picture will get you on your way with the larger pieces. Take a long look at the pictures and compare it to the parts you have. The pre-drilled assembly holes on the major sections line-up quickly and with the proper length bolts and nuts goes together quickly.

FYI: Use the cardboard packing to protect your floor during assembly.

NOTE: The bolt lengths are fairly easy to figure-out since none of them will be longer than really needed to hold a section together.

That's exactly what I started to do, but the different bolt lengths are what intimidated me. :04: I'll give it a try with my husband's help after dinner. I'm sure both of our heads can figure it out. I'm so impatient.

So maybe some help. If you put 2 sections together, like in the pic, and there is a though hole, then it likely needs a screw that goes thru both pieces and uses a nut. If there is not a thru hole, the hole may be pre-tapped and use a shorter screw. Not the bible here and the instructions would be best.

Lol! Thanks, and I appreciate your honesty.

I've figured out the cage part. Now for the stand. That's where it starts to get a little tricky.

Thanks! Every bit of help, is help. I didn't manage to figure out the actual cage part. Now I've got to get the stand figured out. That's a bit more challenging.

It may help to set the cage on its back and look at where the stand parts (vertical sections) would connect or slip into the cage frame. Accept that you will likely take it apart and put it together a couple of times, even if you have the instructions.

You have been given good advice on assembly already by SailBoat.

Just wanted to add, we used to have a very similar cage and I would caution against power hosing to clean it. Those hollow legs will never fully dry out. That was a nasty surprise to discover when we disassembled the cage a few years later! Steam cleaning would be strongly recommended over hosing it down.

Beleive it or not, the cage is assembled. I did run into a small problem, which I'm certain can be resolved with a trip to Home Depot. I am missing (3) 1.5 x 3/16" hex bolts that attach the lower shelf. Ironically, I have extras of every other bolt but this size, and there is no other place this bolt seems to fit.
