Hi all,
I'm thinking about purchasing a dog/cat carrier cage then adding a perch to transform it into a parrot carrier. :p Approximately what sized cage is suitable for a galah? Medium is 50x34x36cm and Large is 60x40x38cm. Small is waay too small. So which one should it be: Med or Large?

Thanks y'all for your help, I've only joined for a little while but I've already noticed how amazing this forum is! :D

Hi I have what is described as a mini ie 47 x 30 x 37 cm. And it is a dog carrier with perch(es) added.

This is ONLY for car travel and whilst at the AV's, a short stop to say hello at a friends but not overnight etc. I am able to put him in it and place on the rear seat of the car (secured) next to me and he seems very happy in it. If I drive I am able to secure him on the front passenger seat with the seat belt round (and airbag disabled) his cage.

It is OK carrying him from the car into Vets, I wouldn't want to have to struggle with anything bigger and risk tripping with him.

I have a collapsible bigger one that is also taken with us for holidays away. (We have more parrot luggage than our own LOL)

Thank you for the reply, I will get the med size as we won't be going on an overnight trip just yet. When we do decide to, I'll get a proper parrot crate which will be comfy and roomy for long trips. ;)
