i won this cage on ebay! someone tried to outbid me in the last 40 seconds but i got it!!! i thought his last cage was big but this one is massive. technically he didn't really need it cos he spends all day out of it anyway, but i do hate getting outbid! but he does have tons more space now (even if it is only for him to sleep in)! he's worth it xxxxxx :blue1:

Hooray for Beau! That is one nice cage, he'll love it. I like how you say, even if he only sleeps in it he's still worth it. What an awesome find!

Remington came with a cage very similar to that and it wasnt easy putting it together!
I see you put the newspaper on top of the grill~ i do the same thing , so much easier to clean and my guy never goes to the bottom of the cage, so its not a problem

Brilliant! Has he taken to it straight away?

I had similar good fortune on a huge cage and new toys for Cal on ebay.

£23.51 hehe!!!

She just uses it as a play den though!!! I am on the lookout for a bigger smaller one now...what eh????

Woohoo! Lucky Beau! I'm addicted to buying and making toys lol!!!! I do like the huge corner cages as I think it gives them so much freedom as well as feeling "protected" by the walls at night.

Cal will end up keeping 3 cages if I'm not careful! She loves her smaller one you see, it was just temporary as she was from an aviary, but as her brothers and sisters were collected before she was, she was all alone and just stayed put in the nesting area awww! But now she's a big girl and although she will never "outgrow" this cage, I want her to have as much room as possible. I just need one that's carryable due to her coming into the shop and back upstairs at night time! :D Keeping my eye out.....

I dread to think how many cages you must have Melly, I think you need to charge admission and then people can see "the zoo" hehe xx

thats not a bad thought! i started with a 'bird room' then a bird 'dining room' and now there in the living room too! i love them all so much, even the little finches. i bet cal gets lots of attention in your shop, you could train him up to serve the customers! x

hehe, birds of all sizes are a joy!

Cal does indeed get oodles of attention. She also brings kids parents in haha! She starting to try and talk before she was even tame because of listening to us and the customers. Her first word was hello and her second was thankyou! What I love about thankyou is that people hear her and you can see it makes their day. Additionally, because she's observant, I genuinely believe she knows what she's saying because if you hand her something she says it. Mind you, when she is on your shoulder at dinner time, hops onto your arm and steals some of your veg, she ALSO says thankyou....ho hum! haha xx

thats so sweet, beau steals my dinner and chirps at me (he can only say hello at the moment)! i think conures are really smart cos willow seems to know what she's saying and says things in context, where the others say random words. she definately seems the smartest of them all so far......we'll see how beau does with his vocabulary, he turns 16 weeks tomorrow! x

i was putting beau in his cage, so i could go out to walk the dogs, but he's getting sneaky about not getting in. well now his cage is bigger i crawled half way in with him on my back, it ended up with me in the cage and beau sat on the chair looking at me! his expression was so smug! LOL
