I am looking for a new cage for our Green Cheek Conure. Can you please share a link or photo of yours with the model or type?

My wish list is:

- Large door for cleaning
- sits up high
- 3.5 mm to 4mm gauge

I have been looking at:

Here's mine, my two cockatiels LOVE it!!!

It was $200 shipped on Amazon and you can take out the divider in the middle to make one gigantic cage.

It is 1/2 inch bar spacing, high off the ground, wide and sits in my living room comfortably. Tons of space for lots of perches, swings, ladders, etc. You do have to put it together yourself but my husband and I had it together in 2 hours and we are not handy people, lol.

We have a big community of GCC parronts here, and I'm sure they'll be along with feedback. My Patagonian is much bigger, so I can't help much... his spacing is an inch or so.

Is that your Nina? What a cute, cute face. She's saying "S'up?"

Welcome!

This is the same type of style as beans just stacker and swinging doors. These type of cages are great for conures. I have mine in 3/4 bar spacing triple stacker right now so I had to dig these old pictures up(havenā€™t taken any new in cage photos in awhile anyway)! Well the sun actually got moved back into this stacker since sheā€™s in the living room now.

The one cage I would not get is the elegant style one since the top can be dangerous if you donā€™t rig it up right.

The HQ and A&E flight cages that are 32x21 are good cages. If you are looking for one large door, then go with A&E. Caring for a green cheek and I recently upgraded him to a cage similar to these, although I don't know what brand it is. I sort of traded the cage he came with for the larger one!

If you like the Elegant, then get the A&E Elegant.

If that's not big enough, then consider the Petco Cage....

I would not use the open top in the Elegant Style one, I agree with you, she has a separate playstand she is horrified of for now :)
What is the manufacturer and dimensions of your triple stack? I heard 5/8" is max for GCC, is 3/4" ok?

Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3624-3 Black - 36''x24''x76'' Triple Stack Cage with Key Locks

Itā€™s 36x24 and 21 high for each cage. I bought mine from birds paradise in nj when they were having a major sale. I paid like 500 or something along those lines. 3/4 spacing is wider than most people use. There is a chance for them to get their heads through if they really gave it a try. I decided the risk was small enough to use it. Iā€™ve honestly seen wings go through small bar gaps and almost snap more than anything. So thereā€™s always a risk for something to go wrong with these guys!

I have one of the smallest green cheeks Iā€™ve ever met in it along with Cockatiels and a second green cheek. I also used to have the sun conure in it.

I actually donā€™t use the grates either, so that gap in the front is much smaller with it.
