What cage color do you prefer and why?

I thought it'd be interesting to find out what cage colors you all prefer and why. If there's a particular color you will absolutely NEVER get again, let's hear about that as well!

Personally, I'm leaning towards black for a future cage, mainly because I want to see where the poop lands so I can clean it. I also find that I can see in more easily through dark bars. On the other hand, I'm wondering if the bars might get too warm for comfort if part of the cage is in the sun.

We got white for a couple of reasons.

- It's really easy to see poop and food particles against a white background, so I can quickly spot clean.

- It keeps the room looking bright and open (instead of dark coloured furniture making the room seem smaller and dimmer).

- It's neutral in colour, so it can fit into different interior designs, including more modern aesthetics.

An interesting question as they become part of your furnishings. I had a black one but changed it to a silver grey which seems to blend in with everthing. Sofas are grey!! I dont think it will be changed any time soon,as I spent so much time looking for one that had everything I wanted,and would be, more importantly,suitable for my little diva!

I prefer white. Let's more light in . I still have done black car to trade out. The parrots in those cages always try and move in the white cages.

Birds are creatures of light, not dark shadowy places.

But a black cage can look through. Your eye doesn't stop, like with a black fence it just blends in. When I had to have one cage in front if my sliding glass door the black one blended and looked much better than the white one...

My freind has a grey textured look cage and it looks classy with his decore

White is the color I now avoid. I prefer dark colors.

When I try to take a picture of a bird inside a white cage it seems like all you can see are the bars not what is inside the cage.

I'm not allowed to make color pallet choices!

We have had Black, White and currently a grey textured cage.

I'm now leaning toward white. I want the cage to feel as light and airy for my boy as possible, plus I'd hate for him to burn his little feet if he climbs through a patch of sun.

I'm all for the white. Easer to see poop, and I agree that it makes the room look brighter in general.

My cage for reference. There was an option for black but I honestly think white looks much classier.

I went for white because I thought it would keep the room light and feel more open for my little guy. It doesn't lumber in the corner of the room like a black one does, but like someone else said, you can't see into it because your eyes stop at the whiteness! It's quite annoying! I've replaced the 2 side with perspex and in the summer, when McCoy can be in the outside aviary for a while, we're actually going to cut out some of the caging at the front and replace it with perspex. I hang toys and ropes around the inside so he can still move all the way round and upside down like he would be able to if there were bars. It's lovely to see him so clearly now

What a unique question, I never thought of it! I have always loved the darker black/charcoal colours, although I've been stumbling across some beautiful reds that I adore, too.

White, or light grey, or stainless steel. I prefer stainless steel as last longer and easy to clean.
