Hey folks,
I'm looking at getting an EZ care cage for my Timneh. Does anyone have a bow front version of this cage? I've found a source where the price is great... and I'm really leaning towards one.
I also have access to discount Hagen cages.. but not sure I like them as much? I like the EZ care fully opening front door for cleaning...

I love the EZ bow front cages. I love the full access window/door. The one at Petsmart here was only 400 as well and I almost got it. Until I got online and found a cage for 180 that is absolutely incredible. Really, it is an awesome cage. Look up cages on ebay. I found a cage that is nicer than the ones the pet stores here sell for seven to eight hundred.

I've seen those cages, didn't see a big version of it, the one I saw at Petco was for smaller sized birds. I personally do like them because it really cuts all the messes. It's NOT good for certain birds though like my macaw, he's very destructive so regular bar cage for him....He's already took a wirenut off the feed door and rip off one of the door opener thing....This cage is not that old and cost me around $800 new....I will have to find a better cage that he can't destroy in a few more years....

alrighty... so I got the medium sized bowfront cage .. it's HUGE - for Bella (Timneh) and she is really starting to explore and love it! It's a beautiful cage... I've only had it a week, but definitely recommend!

yes it's great- and has it's own pull out tray and everything. Unfortunately Bela isn't all that confident with playing up there yet... I put him up there and he sits like a deer in headlights...lol... he's getting better though.

I have one of them, it was the cage our black cap conure came in but was way too small for him in my opinion. It now houses two budgies. I like it all except 1 thing, being that it's a bow front, you have to specially cut papers for the bottom of it if you want the whole pan covered, I suppose you could just fold them over but in my experience that makes a bit of a mess. The other thing is, NEVER use glass cleaner on the front, obviously you don't want to use that around your bird anyway but the guy I got my cage from used some kind of glass cleaner on the acrylic and now you can barely see through it. It's not a big deal, I just need to replace the plexi in the front, I just haven't gotten around to getting a new piece and in the meantime it looks really tacky being all cloudy.

I have the mini for my GCC and he LOVES it. I actually went out and bought a bigger non-bow front cage and was going to use the bow front as a sleeping cage, but he refused to use anything but the bow front. The only downside for me, it that it greatly decreases the variation in perches and toys. I like to change out toys and the cage set up weekly to keep them stimulated.
