Struggling to find a suitable cage for Quaker
I am just wondering if anyone within the UK would know of somewhere to get a good parrot cage delivered or if anyone else knows of a good sized cage for a quaker parrot.
My issue is that all of the cages i seem to look at that are the size i am looking for are all 2cm bar spacing which is far to big. She is currently in the Liberta Discovery which is 1.5cm bar spacing but it is a bit of a pain seeing as it is a corner cage. I am now looking for any suggestions on a new cage for her as i just cannot find anything that has close enough bars. Also what is the correct bar spacing for a quaker? Thanks ![]() Last edited by LeoTheQuaker; 01-10-2021 at 02:51 PM. |

I'd consider going larger if possible- as far as cage size

I was just looking at the picture-IDK-- I wasn't trying to put down yours or anything--- didn't look at measurements, but in the image it looked like it was like 2 ft by 2.5 ft feet-- again, still haven't looked at measurements

Re: Struggling to find a suitable cage for Quaker
My cages are 32 inches long, 22 inches deep, and 38 inches tall , on stand 63 inches tall.
Thus is my favorite size, ive had smaller and once had much much larger

Ah ok, so mine is quite tall then. Wasnt sure if i could go smaller tbh as i want a good size cage for her....however if i can get a shorter cage then i will look for that and see if i can get something that sort of size.

I'm sure largest you can is best. My 2 GCC had one so huge I could sit inside cross legged and room over head and just reach each side with arms out. But so hard to manage cleaning and perch and toys. When I git more parrots there just wasn't room, and her cage mate had passed.
