Many many many different parrot species are ok with the Aviator Harness, and some individual birds hate it. So it depend son the individual bird. No particular species in general hates harnesses. ^^ Your caique may very well be fine with it. Or it could despise the harness like your Amazon does.

My biggest obstacle is my girl doesn't like her wings touched, hard to put one on when to can't touch the wings

I spend a lot of time working with my birds and there wings. Not with a harness just sitting and petting them. If you can not cup there head with your hand or play with there wings, you will both be very unset with a harness.

I've only had my bird for a couple months, easily can get the loop over head, working on the wings :)

My TAG was handled often by the breeder, and accepted the harness over his head. He lets me stroke his wings, lift them to scratch under them, but, still is not ready for the harness around his body. He lets me put it over his head, and keeps it there for a minute or two while I stroke his body. But, after a short time, he starts picking & pulling at it. And I take it off before he gets stressed. It's not easy, it's not quick, and it's not natural for them to be restrained like that. But, we're working on it. :)

Hey when did you get a Caique ? [I missed this :)] I would think you could do a harness. I work on being able to touch them all over with mine.
