does your birds dropping look like this

My caique has bigger softer droppings than the other birds since i got him but he was on a fruit pellet diet and he just ran out

do these droppings look normal?

I just cleaned his cage yesterday. My mynah had droppings like this.

is this because hes a bigger or more active bird? hes a pig and eats and drinks a lot

It looks pretty normal to me! If at anytime your worried you should have a avian vet to examine him if you haven't already had a vet visit!!!

They may seem great as they hide their sickness quite well. When you actually do observe something is wrong, it can be too late. That's something to ponder on!!!!

If he's a young bird and you say he's eating a lot, that explains the amount of stools, what goes in must come out!

Yes, but only the 'Morning Bomb' lol. And I have 8 caiques so I do know. Consistency looks right, colour looks right.

Yes, two of our 4 have HUGE dumps first thing in the morning, the other two are a little more polite to make the same amount in smaller and spaced "packages" LOL.
Can't see the picture, but can tell you that some brands of the fruity pellets can make for some interesting poops!

What's an average of how long between poops during the day just out of curiosity? Pet store told me about once every 40 minutes.

Depends on how much they eat/drink. 30-45mins seems about right. They can and do hold it though.

they eat drink non stop they live at the food bowls it seems lol
