Boarding

I have two BHCs, brothers, who absolutely adore each other, as much as I adore them both. I travel for work on a regular basis. For now I am traveling to NE Asia for a few weeks to 2 ½ months at a time. Normally, if there is such a thing, I travel weekly, out on Monday and home on Thursday - but not every week. My partner takes care of my boys when I'm gone, but he has had some life changes and will be returning to Europe later this year.

My first thought was to re home them, but with strict conditions. I would have to personally approve the new home, they could NEVER be separated, and never sold or giving away with first calling me.

But when I was working at home for a couple of months in between trips, I realized I just can't do this. I WILL raise them as a single parent, but I will not part with them, and this may eventually lead me to taking a local job.

So, has anyone been in this position before? How have you handled it? I hate to have sitters come in for feedings , and just for an hour a day or so. I don't want to board them in a "pet store". I have no one local (family / friends) that has the experience. I have a very competent boarder I have used once before, but never for this long - I have not even broached the subject with her yet. I live in Cleveland, OH so while I have some choices, I certainly don't know all of them, so if anyone is from the area and knows of someone that might be able and willing to do this (for pay of course), please let me know.
Until then, any wise words of wisdom are greatly appreciated.

Hi John, welcome to you and Juan and Pablo. Sincerely hoping we have someone reading this that is in a position to help you out. It would be nice to see your little guys if you wouldn't mind putting up a video or some pics to see? As you see location rules me out LOL. Best of luck.

PS Do you have any parrot societies near you, like minded bird lovers/keepers?

They are gorgeous and so entertaining. Otherwise advertise (on here) for someone to be a holiday parront for your guys, you could reciprocate to help them out in time WDYT?
