so mr. pants decided to drink the other day and when he does he gets very animated and playful. well while dancing around he spooked nanners really bad, who happened to be on me at the time so now nanners is spooked by me! he won't let me give him good scritches anymore (the kind he wouldn't even let daddy give!) and he won't roll for me now :\ but he'll let daddy do the things. right in front of me no less!

i mean, all joking aside i get that it'll just take time to build the trust back up and lots of treats and me doing the things he loves, and i understand why its me he's spooked by and not mr. pants, and he still goes back and forth between us without issue but maaaan! this is totally not fair! harumph!

Umbrella Cockatoo- 15? years old..I think?
LOL----oops...
I feel like this could happen to me.
I did ALMOST accidentally make my U2 face-plant this afternoon (sober...but still).
Thankfully, she didn't, or I would be right there with you.
Like you said, it will just take a bit of time---probably not too long!

None. My wife has one too many. Kidding!
Oh, Mr. and Mrs. Pants, who wears the alcohol in your house? Hey there's a joke in there somewhere. Also maybe a cautionary tale. Anyway, fun story. :)

I had the same thing with a cat. She was the sweetest feral, and I got her tamed enough to sit on my lap, which she loved. Then one of the boys (other cats) was acting up so I hissed...at HIM. Poor Woolly jumped off my lap and I was never able to get her back on my lap. I should've tried harder though.
