The Pealed Bananners

So I've seen other people do it, and I decided hey why not? Unless someone has an issue with it or doesn't want me to post something like this, why not a thread about Sgt. Nanners as he meander through daily life! Instead of all the posts I've been wanting to make and don't want to flood the boards with, just one thread where I keep all his things :3

Interesting updates of late:

new sounds:

the superhero - he does this whistle where its like "beep beep BEEP!" and it joust sounds like a superhero theme song, kinda like the little "datada" that Scrappy Doo would always do lol.

the little girl scream - out of nowhere he started doing this high pitched long winded "aaaaaah!" and it just sounds like a terrified smol girl. we discovered this one day when i was like "I'm gonna eat your face!" and he went "eeeeeeeeeeeeek!" and it was so good, we made a big to-do and now he does it all the time. we still love it.

the marty scrull - so me and mr. pants are super into new japan wrestling, and one of our favorite wrestlers is Marty Scrull "the villain" and his calling card is "woop woop!" and it was one of the first noises I introduced to Nanners since I can't whistle so his default noise is literally "woop woop" but in whistle form and I love it.

learning things:

harness training - he's been going through harness training and i'm so proud to report that he's mastered the "head through loop" portion! to make sure he was learning, i would put the treat on one side and the harness loop on the other, and he's already learned that even if the treat is right in front of him, he must put his head through the loop to get it. i am so proud.

potty training - he's become amazing at pooping in "designated" spots. I say that loosely, because designated spots is just not on people. so he'll "boom" on the floor, or he'll lean as far away from us as possible to go boom. he's a good boi omg.

mommys car - so apparently he can now identify my car!? mr. pants is still sadly looking for work since his job went over seas, so he's home with the boi all day. and he told me that every time my car pulls up (he can see the driveway from a window) he starts doing contact calls because he's learned this car means mommys home. precious!

And that's all I can think of in updating for now! I'm sure more will come in subsequent posts! I credit people before me who have done this!

oh no i guess the forum deleted stuff lol, i kno they been having trouble! oh well, hope they can find a fix! in the meantime, last thing i wrote about was that the boi learned to make fart noises, so now we all just blow raspberries at each other (don't worry they are only on his beak, forehead, or his lil chicken legs lol

also he's been doing a big molt and today i saw what was definitely a wing feather! he's definitely excited to fly around as he flapps on my arm anytime we walk down the hallway. Caiques aren't great flyers cuz they're stocky and have shorter wings, so we're not expecting him to be darting around all over the place - most of what i've seen from other owners is that they prefer to hop around and climb - but it should add an interesting dynamic to our everyday life! (we are taking steps to prepare for that)

I got Nanners a "puzzle toy!" and i am both proud and disheartened at how fast he figured it out lol. Mr pants told me he worked on it for a few minutes making fart noises at it (i still think its hilarious we taught him this) until he figured out how to open the drawers lol.

aaaaand now hes bored of it pfft! time to get him another one i suppose so i can cycle them out! anyone feel free to give me some suggestions :3

so im so excited cuz my bois tail feathers are growing in nice! when we first got him they were frayed and did not look good but finally they're growing in nice! ive been trying to get a pic but he wont sit still lol.

i forgot to mention he's also like, learning to laugh which is so disturbing to me lol! birds mimicking people laughing for some reason gives me the shivers but god sometimes it is so well timed! i will do or say something stupid and he starts laughing and then mr. pants laughs at me and i'm like "you're all against me!"
