I'd wait and see how you and your new baby caique get along. And see the personality of your new bird, how demanding he is of your time, individuals can vary..
Babies change a lot as they grow up, they hit puberty , and change some as adult birds.

Is this your first FID ( feathered kid) or have you had parrots before?

I know that Gemma hates the budgies, attacks them and when I am around them attacks me. She is quite a bit better around Bell (canary) as he tends to sing when she is there and then Gemma joins in with whistling. Even though she is better around him I would never risk letting him out with her in the same room.
I don't know if Gemma would behave around a parrot roughly the same size as I haven't experienced that, but it all depends on both birds to know if they would be compatible together.
