Cricket - an American Budgie
My Cockatiel Bob is very friendly, and seems quite happy, but he does not seem to enjoy his toys. I got his a few "foot toys" as the lady who sold him to me called them and suggested; they are basically modifed ping pong balls. I also got him a couple of hanging toys and a play stand with a swing. When I first got him on the playstand he went for the swing, and upon discovering that it was indeed a swing he seemed to become nervous and flew/climb to the cross member supporting the swing. The "foot toys" and hanging toys he ignores.

The only "toy" he seems to enjoy is his millet spray dispenser which hangs from the top of his cage and makes it challenging to get the millet out.

Any suggestions on a different type of toy that he might actually like?

No idea where to get the finger traps, but next time Bob needs vegitables I will pick up some straws, worst case we will have some straws laying around on the off chance a guest wants one.

hello again! my cockateil merv isnt a big fan of toys either. sometimes shes a bit retarded and cant really hold stuff with her feet but what she does love are........ Q tips believe it or not. Loves them! And thin hair elastics with the small metal clamp sealing the loop, they are very popular. She likes to chew them round and round and swing them up backwards so they loop over her head (so she must be supervised) She also is quite keen on branches from fruit trees (i use fejoias(fruit tree small leaves) but i doubt you have them there!) she loves to snip each leaf off individually and drop them... she also likes swings but only 'sturdy' ones.....:) nothing too wobbly
she refuses to ever eat a vegetable, does Bob eat his?

Mine love popsicle sticks. Drill a hole through the middle and string on leather or something sturdy. They also love bells.

Two of Bob's toys have bells, he ignores both.
