cockatiel eggs

i have 2 cockatiels eggs in the incubator, can i put the eggs back in the nesting box before they hatch

What do you mean by put the eggs back in the nest? As in You want the parents to take care of it?

the eggs have been in the incubator and are close to hatching would it be alright if i transfered the eggs back into the nesting box with the parents to hatch so that they can look after their young.

my first question is why did you remove the eggs in the first place??
if the eggs are left with the parents they are turned on a regular basis to ensure they hatch.(if fertile)

my second question is why would you want to to put them back now??
Do you have experience raising chicks right from hatching??

she may reject them, or accept them. she will know immediately if they are ok.
once you remove the eggs, she will stop being in 'nesting mode', unless she is still sitting on other eggs.
not sure why you did this, I hope for the chicks sake they make it. good luck.

Once the eggs leave their parents, they might reject them. Do you have any experience in raising young cockatiels?

Because i can tell you that raising baby parrots before 1-2 week old are very hard! I have always let the parents raise the babies for the first 2 weeks. I start hand feeding after they are 2 weeks old, and has no problem. But I never tried raising baby chicks when they are before 2 weeks.

They may reject them IF they're not on any other eggs. BUT some pairs will gladly accept them. I have a pair that lays infertile eggs and at one point before they laid any eggs I give them a egg to see what they would do, they incubate it immediately. So by the time the pair that had fertile eggs was fixing to hatch, I give it to the foster pair and they accept it and took care of it really good. The pair that I had remove the hatchlings from were horrible parents. This pair raised all their young with flying colors. It really depends on the pair, some will, some won't. I trust this pair because I observed them carefully before I allow it to happen. They've gone through two batches already and did really good.

You really need to understand on how to care for young when they first hatch, it's a hard process!!!! Very tiring....The day they hatch you need to provide some plain yogurt that have live active yogurt cultures in small amount. Then an hour later you need to start feeding the formula by mixing it really watery. You feed in small amounts. Then you repeat the process hourly afterwards, you must make sure the crop is completely emptied every time you feed. So you MUST be committed to do this if you want to proceed, otherwise give it to a breeder who can.
