About to get jewel our new baby cockatiel here in 3 weeks. Breeder says she will wean to feed parakeet seed and harrisons pellets. Was thinking about either buying this Cockatiel Food: Drs. Foster and Smith Cockatiel Premium Blend with Omega-3s. Or this Goldenfeast Australian Blend - DISCOUNTED. Along with some harrison or zupreem pellets and greens etc. Which is better or does it matter? Thank you. Also here is a pic of the baby=0
We also feed our guys greens, spinach or choy sum (Chinese greens) or whatever we can get including seeds which sprout in the garden from my winnowing efforts. They're also given mature heads from sunflower which grows from cage cleanups put into the garden, and occasionally, fresh eucalypt leaves and stalks, but not vast amounts as eucalyptus is actually toxic. I've found the "home Brand" generic seed mixes to be utter rubbish, full of dust and stalks and, yes, milo nobody eats
