Cockatiels Getting Used To New Birds

I've noticed that one of my cockatiels has had his head down since I got my conures today.

Is this a sign of submission or something? Do you think my cockatiel will get used to my new conures?

I have another room that my conures can go in if they're going to bother my cockatiels.

Why do you even have them in the same room?! QUARRANTINE is a must. It involves keeping them in differrent rooms, cages, for a minimum of 30 days. It stops illnesses spreading, so if the new birds are sick, your dearly loved pet won't die as well or you won't have to pay more money on vet bills! Did you do any research at all?

Feel your cockatiels chest and stomach. If he has a pointed keel bone, he is starving and weak! Does he have any other signs of illness?

Yes I did do my research but when I brought the birds home I didn't even think about putting them straight into another room which was really stupid of me. I moved them to new room now so hopefully they're fine (I think they are because they've been eating and exploring their cage).

My cockatiels have been perfectly healthy and they were only in the same room with the new birds for a couple hours so I doubt he's already starving and sick. He also didn't have his head down much which is why I was thinking that he was just scared or nervous. Also, he has been acting normal since I moved the other birds to a new room.

Did you get the green check and brown head in the photo you showed us? If so, that is so wonderful. Yes, keep seperate for a good while. I bet you were so excited and that is why you did not think of this. You are going to be bird busy for a while now. Enjoy??

It sounds like your 'tiel didn't like the company :11:

I don't think he did lol :). He went back to his old self after I moved the other birds to a separate room. I guess I'll just have to watch him when I reintroduce the new birds into the same room again in a month.

I wasn't able to get the pair of Brown Headed Parrots and the Double-Toothed Barbets :(. I felt really bad that I wasn't able to take them all home but my parents would only let me get one pair. I'm sure someone else will adopt them though because they are usually pretty expensive birds.
