What size cage will I need to to house 2-3 cockatiel pair in one large cage?

If you are setting up pairs to breed then they really should each have their own cage. With that many in one cage it would become very difficult to keep track of who is eating, pooping, watching for compatibility and that there is no fighting. Why do you want to put them all together?

I would like too have one large cage instead of 2 smaller ones. Also easier to clean 1 cage then having to clean 2. How about if I put 2 pairs in a large cage 40inby18by36in or so big and put a lot branches and toys could it work?

I really would not put multiple pairs together no matter what size the cage is. There is A LOT more to breeding than sticking birds together. With multiple males together they could start fighting (to the death, worst case) and females will sometimes kill or injure another females babies. You would need to attach two nest boxes to the same cage and I just do not believe this would be good in the long run.

Have you ever bred before, hand fed before? This is something you should really give a lot of thought to. It is hard to make money breeding birds if you are doing it correctly and providing the best care. The least of which would be cleaning two cages instead of one. There also is not a shortage of cockatiels so unless you have uncommon or a special mutation I would question why you would want to.

Still on that mission, but looking for my mushy! <3
I agree with Labell... There are TONS of cockatiels available. I feel adding to it would be a bad thing, unless you're going to be an expert in cockatiels or have a special mutation, like Labell said.
