New Cockatiel Progress!!

YAY!! Today we took another step forward in the hand taming process! after sitting with my hand in the cage with a little millet for 30 mins My bub decided to walk over and have a nibble!! he's currently eating out of my hand right now! yay!! he's a little nervous as he keeps looking at my hand lol but hell be my little velcro bird in no time i can feel it hehe

That's great news. My Rex joined Net on .y shoulder and bead then shoulder again. They fell asleep. I hated to put them back in their cage at my bedtime but it was for their own good.

Great Danny! I'm glad you're seeing a bit of progress . This tiel was unexpected (as you were looking for a conure) but it was meant to be I believe!

Hehe well he hasn't come out of the cage yet as he's not clipped and I would need to catch him which is not a good thing is these beginning steps! Lol but I think it was too! I mean I'm still searching for a conure but not as intensely as I've been using my time with the bubster here lol! He's started flock calling when I leave also. Not every time but I make sure I respond when he does! Yay tiny steps guys tiny steps!

OMG!!! this bird is so outgoing its ridiculous! I'm so proud of him.

First off yesterday instead of feeding him millet with the long spray I ripped off a little millet ball clump thing from the sprig and held the little piece between my fingers and he STILL ate it he even tasted my finger a couple times but was so gentle������

Now today from another stand point I've been putting moistened pellets sprinkled with seed to grab his attention and hopefully take an accidental bite and guess what?!?! He's sitting there right now eating PELLETS!! YAY!!! Finally some good nutrition is going in him!! As he came to me with wal mart cockatiel seed... ��
