Well I walked over to my bird's cage to see one of my cockatiels (Scout) holding his wings out putting his head down and putting his butt way in the air.... I went over to him and I even started petting his head WHICH IS SOMETHING HE HAS NEVER LET ME DONE... I'm very confused right now he is doing it right now as I type. He will fan his feathers out and put his head inbetween his legs while opening his wings (not heart wings)

I'm so lost right now.. I've never seen him act like this.. :20: Is he just being playful????

P.S.
Here he is with his little butt in the air.

LOL. My guess is that you cockatiel feels 'love is in the air'. :D

I was kind of thinking that... LOL... He's just never acted like that. He doesn't even give me heart wings, my other boy does though ;)

I was just thinking.... maybe he wants a bath???? I know I can't compare my Amazons' body language to your pretty tiel, but they go into that stance when they really want a bath, or while having one.

Wow I didn't think of that... Which is funny because he hates baths! But maybe I will crank the heat up and give him a little mist to see if he would like to. Thanks :)

WOW you we're right! I sprayed them both and they loved it they were coming right up to me to get misted.. Aww.. Thank you for the suggestion I swore that Scout used to hate being misted but I guess he wanted to be today :)

Oh LOL, mine does that too, especially if I blow on him! He is sorta taking an air bath and enjoys it, doing exactly same thing as you described. It looks very weird, but I think it's actually totally normal, and a sign that they are happy. :)
