Cockatiels ?

Hey!
I thought in getting a new parrot and Cockatiels seems to be the most suitable for me in terms of size and cuteness Anyway my question is:
1)How easy is to tame a Cockatiel compared to a red rumped for example? My red rumped took like ~1 week to be tamed
2)Can they speak a few words if I practice with them?
3)On average are they smarter compared or other types of parrots of their size like a red ruped for example?
4)What average lifespan do they have?
5)How noisy are they?
6)Do you expect it to behave differently than a red rumped?

P.S: I hope I posted in the right section...as far as I know Cockatiels are a sub specie of Cockatoos so I think I'm not mistaken by putting it here?

Since we have a section for Cockatiels, I moved your thread over.

My male tiel says good boy, pretty bird and Jets a pretty bird. Also a mix of those words

Mine will be 18 this year! So he/she will be around a while! The only thing mine says is "Angel venga" which is Spanish for Angel come! Buttttt he does sing la cucaracha and is able to mimic lots of house hold items and car alarms! Lold

Also, he is super cuddly! Lovessss head rubs like it's no one's business! He's on my shoulder all the time for everything! If not, he will fly over to make sure he is! I think they make great companions ♡

1) a tame cockatiel is easier to find than a tame redrump in my area, so you may not need to tame it at all. I have never met a cockatiel who could not be tamed with patience, but it will vary from bird to bird. As a rule they are one of the easier birds to tame in my experience, but a week is an awfully short time regardless of species.
2)no matter the species, some will talk and some will not. Cockatiels are more known for their whistling skills but some do talk. If that is important to you I suggest getting a male.
3)They are extremely smart b it intelligence has more to do with what does on before the bird is weaned than with species. For the smartest possible bird look first for one who was NEVER clipped before being weaned, and secondly for a bird who was raised by his parents and weaned in a flock and well socialized with other birds and provided toys, variety of food, etc.
4)cockatiels can live up to 30 years when cared for extremely well. Think carefully of diet and leaving the bird flighted for optimal health as well as emilinating environmental dangers such as perfumes and teflon cookware.
5) The noise level of any parrot is largely dependant on how happy they are, how stimulating their environment is, how healthy, how lonely, how bored, etc. generally speaking cockatiels are considered a reletively quiet species.
6)All parrot species are vastly different from each over, and each individual bird is unique. Cockatiels are very special and surely will be different than the bird you already have, but since I have. Never interacted with a red rump I wouldn't know. However if you already know you like red rumps, perhaps the best choice is a second red rump instead of a cockatiel?

Regarding " perhaps the best choice is a second red rump instead of a cockatiel?", the thing is that I want to try out different birds to see for the future years to come what I will continue to grow.

I got one more question which from my point of view seems a bit odd but I will ask it anyway.
In one month my friend who owns cockatiel babies will send me one. Let's say I get a female will that mean that in time she will see me as a mate? If so what does that mean in terms of relationship?
