Meet Lissa!

So after a successful quarantine and slow introduction, we are pleased to announce the arrival of Lyze's new girlfriend! (We're assuming it's a she, her cheek patches are very dull but I have no idea what mutation she is!)

Her name is Otulissa, Lissa for short and she is a lovely little birdie. She's very quiet and shy but she and Lyze are already best friends.

Oh, she's pretty! She looks like a cinnamon to me, but someone who knows 'tiel mutations better will easily know. Glad you got her and QT'd her. Bravo you!

Thanks everyone! Lyze seems really happy to have a cage mate he kept trying to play with the cranky little parrotlet through Loki's cage bars lol

Wow! That is awesome... how long have they been together? I wonder if it helps since your white face is a male and your new tiel appears to be a female... my tiel is a male and I plan to get another male...

Since Saturday. We took it slow last week introducing them before we moved Lissa permanently into Lyze's cage. I read that cockatiels usually get along with anyone pretty easily

we went out to get another male but Lissa picked us

Beautiful pair. Never owned a 'tiel but a friend did and "Corky" was quite the character lol.
