Dusty really just started whistling about a week or so ago and mostly it's been pretty random stuff of his own composition. Over the last few days though he's really been putting stuff together! Can't imagine how well he'll have it down in another week or month

That is pretty impressive for such a young bird. You should accompany him on guitar or piano or saxophone.

Super cute! how old is Dusty? He's got talent I love it when they chuckle.... I wish I could whistle better... My tiel imitates me but my whistling is not up to par.

Here he is after another week of work. He's getting it! I also do the song on guitar but the D bird hasn't been able to follow with that yet. Today's performance was the best so far but he'll be ready to tour before you know it

So exciting! He's started trying to say "tequila" sometimes!! He can't really talk yet but he's trying so hard. It comes out kashhhhhhhhhhhh, really drawn out. I tried to catch it on video but it's quick and he's only done it a few times. Little boy is going to be a talker for sure!

You never know with these birds, but so far he hasn't tried the good the bad and the birdy even once. I guess he just doesn't care about that one.
But just since breakast today he has said tequila about a half dozen times. Not real clear but there's no mistaking it now! I have high hopes for our potm contest entry this month

I thought it was a very bird-like tune and that he might naturally like but I guess I was wrong. Maybe a pet loon or pigeon would like that one, haha

Uh-oh, eary update time! I was going to just update his progress every week or two as he gets better, but I managed to capture a milestone and can't resist, haha.

He starts of with "whatcha doin?", which I've never said to him. Turns out my son says that to him, so cool! Bird is pretty excited here hopping back and forth between my lap and the chair arm. He's still not a real clear talker, and being a tiel he may never be very clear but Daddy sure is proud!
