Hello, sorry for the wait and in the absence of anyone else I will try to help:-

The vet visit, you do not want to scare the fluffy pants off your little one so probably be good idea unless anything urgent to let her settle a little.

ID rings are usually put on by the breeder and this I believe is a closed ring, which is not possible later on. Can you talk to the breeder? Open rings are used later on.
Micro chips are implanted under the skin of the bird and this then has your details as the owner and is helpful should she escape and is found to prove ownership.

i got her from someone who had bought her. probably pet shop so im probably thinking split ring.
ive been reading about microship and from what ive read its better for big birds since there is cases where smaller birds actually teared their chest trying to take it out, will talk woth the vet after she is settled and see what he recommends

Correct, Micro Chips are for Medium to Larger Parrots. It is not commonly recommended for smaller Parrot. But can be done if there is a pending legal reason needed to positively ID your parrot. However, even with that it is risky for Tiels.

Split rings are the only ID ring that can be added to an Adult. Unless, like above, you have a pending legal concern, or you plan on traveling with your Tiel, or you live in an area in which pet parrots are commonly stolen, I would avoid a split ring. If you believe that you 'need' an ID mark, talk to your Avian Vet. Although very rare today, a tattoo mark can be placed on a Tiel.

NOTE: To a Legal Point, if your Vet does not regularly reference the Micro Chip, ID ring and/or tattoo as part of each Vet visit. With the exception of the Micro Chip, the others loose there strength as viewed by Law Enforcement and the Court. Your Vet's records are one of the strongest tools you have as proof that your Parrot is in fact your Parrot.
