Young cockatiel

I just brought home a 12 week old cockatiel. He/she is a bit stand offish. Is this normal till he gets to know us. He only eats a little bit too, should I worry? He will step up and let me touch him a little bit that's it.

Hi, welcome. WHat are you feeding it? best is veggies and pellets with only a little bit of seeds. But use the same as where you got the bird from at first and slowly introduce the others .

Congrats on taking the little guy in. He is probably just shy and getting used to his surroundings. Sounds like he's warmed up to you. Give it time and what will be yours, will be his. :03:
