Are these window stencils covering the window enough?

I accidentally dropped some tupperware in the kitchen and it spooked Coconut and he flew right into the window blinds (the blinds are always covering window of course)... he learned very fast that is not a good idea because next time around he turned away from it.

Are these palm tree stencils I have in the window shown in below pic covering the window enough? I am NOT worried about Rascal at all as he knows that is a window there and he cannot fly through it (I put those stencils there almost 4 yrs ago for Rascal)... but I am not confident in Coconut... I feel like he will maybe try to fly through the gaps?? ... or does that look sufficient to you? Perhaps I'll tape some extra pieces of paper on that window just until Coconut knows the drill.

PS: That is Rascal in the pic... not Coconut :) Coconut is not allowed up there yet.

Fly free Plum, my gorgeous boy.
You can never be too careful but my guess is that the ledge will be more interesting as a place to land - hey look you can't reach me! If by any chance it is not enough how about a home made bead curtain?

What fantastic high ceilings you have.

Rascal always flys up to that ledge and he knows it is a window there. I'm a minimalist... I really dislike curtains blocking windows or sunlight. I do LOVE tropical things... bead curtins can look tropical but using stencil stickers is far easier and doesn't block sunlight :)

I put those palm tree window stencils on that window a few yrs ago for Rascal... I just needed to beef up the window protection for Coconut until he learns, like Rascal did, that he cannot fly through it... so I glued pieces of paper... it gets the job done :) I know it's ugly but it's only temporary. The stencils are permanent of course... but not the pieces of paper :D

EDIT: I'll probably end up getting some more tiny stencils to put on that window to fill in the gaps... I'm too paranoid about Coconut... the gaps where there is no stencil makes me too nervous!

I like the stencils. In a way, like around the holidays, it almost looks like a Christmas in the tropics. Like you said, better be safe than sorry. Sometimes our tiels can get spooked easily and can fly into things. The blinds seem like a "barrier" almost to the windows, as curtains are too. I think, as they grow more flight feathers they have better maneuvering.

Re: the ledge on the top window, my guess would be that "oh come and get me up here" is a good gesture...! They'll see it as more of a perch.:D

Yeah I've noticed when they get spooked and start flying around like a nutcase at full speed.... yikes!!!.... they aren't thinking straight that's for sure.... it's scary to watch. Thankfully that's doesn't happen often at all thank goodness.
