In last couple of days casper started scratching his back and today lost a lot of energy. Got appointment for vet tomorrow ,just worried for tonight. Thanks PS ,I've posted pic of him looking a bit down in the dumps today.

Good for you, for the fast vet-reaction.
Maybe just be sure he's someplace nice and warm... maybe a heating pad placed a few inches outside the bars so he can get close to it if he wants (and of course, check the pad lots to make sure everything is still safe.
Other than that, lots of love but maybe not too much movement or excitement?

He's just beautiful, by the way.

Good luck!

Glad you are taking him in so quickly! Get him to a spot as close to 95 degrees F as you can, turn off the lights, be sure he has easy access to water, and high energy foods like seeds and fruit, as well as whatever his normal food is. If possible, take him to an emergency vet tonight.

Update on Casper, vet gave him anti biotic. She had look at him and said she thought he was bit humped and not breathing great. Although he's still quieterthan normal. He's a lot better than yesterday. Fingers crossed. Thanks

Did she do a gram stain? Or just say yes he is sick and give him meds?

Please take him to an AVIAN vet; it sounds like yours is just guessing. If something is wrong other than just s Bactria he will likely die if you don't get help soon.

Hi ,she is listed as an Avian . Although like you I thought she was guessing.. Found another avian vet on internet about an hours drive from me. Will take there tomorrow if he's still not rite tomorrow. He had a good feed a drink before before he went to bed a half hour ago. I've left night light and heating on for him again. Thanks

What was Caspers weight? Yes definitely try to locate an AVIAN vet!
A "regular vet" would be like you seeing your "regular" doctor, when in actuality, you needed to see your cardiologist!

Lots of vets list themselves as that but aren't. Your bird needs a gram stain. If the gram stain is normal I would get blood work. If the blood work is normal I would get X-rays.

You may think I'm over reacting but birds are excellent at hiding illness; by the time you can tell something is up, the bird is VERY ILL.

I'm also phoning vet tomorrow to see if she'll do tests. Eg gram stains ,just to make sure.
