And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
...now that Beeb's is one year old:),when should I expect him to run amok?
How should I expect him to act when his hormones start kicking in?
I'd expect any time soon, but he is just a lovey little guy! And I have not noticed any "odd" behavior from him..yet.

Sure,he likes to "box" with ear lobes  Uncle DJ got a taste of that yesterday lol,and he yells at times when he doesn't want to do what I'd like him to do,but he is not aggressive about anything.

He doesn't "scream"...( do cockatiels scream??) He is very vocal though, with his talking and Addams family/Andy Griffith renditions, wolf whistling, and plain old 'tiel banter. I could listen to him all day really, some of his whistling and chatter is just too damn cute.

Sorry if it reads like I'm bragging again....can't help it lol..I just love this little fluff ball so much.

From always having Tiels I've only experienced a bit more moodiness come hormone time but to be honest I've always never had any issues with aggression etc. My males will mate on a toy or something.

In my parents house
Parrots
A cockatiel, a bourke, and three budgies
What I've noticed with my tiel is that he starts bossing my other birds around. He has to be separated while he is in his "mating mood."

And I can tell you, cockatiels scream. What bird doesn't scream?

Two Cockatiels: Rascal (Geraldine) and his baby brother named Coconut!
I've had tiels my whole life and have never noticed any major changes in any of my tiels at all. 'Nut has ALWAYS been a frisky little devil. From the day I got him when he was just a young baby about 3 months old... he has always tried mating with my hand. I don't let him of course. I tell him "thanks but no thanks buddy" then give him the boot LOL

Rascal is same way but not nearly as often as 'Nut! I highly doubt Beeb's is going to turn vicious on you and try to peck your eyeballs out ;)

... but you never know. Beebs just might become a modern day star in this movie...
