jazz likes to hang out on my ankles (when I have my feet up on the couch) and likes to pick at the fuzzys on my socks. Should I be worried she's ingesting the cotton?

I'm so paranoid... I'd put a stop to it.
Or buy a big supply of new socks?

The concern is that the strains will become stuck in the Crop!

Work to keep it to a minimum, but do not make a big deal of stopping it. Since, the more excited you become about it, the more interest your Parrot will become in doing it!

Yes I would definitely not allow him to do that... for same reason cozy huts cause problems. Check this out: Happy hut warning
