Sunny - younger, placid & dominant
Sky - Older, trouble, jealous & chewer

Previously had a male Budgie that lived for 12 years.
Sky is just being a weird little thing. Stepping all over my hand and head butting my fingers. I try to pat him and and he steps up on it lol :grey:

Looks like a Tiel being a busy Tiel! You can involve training and other activities as part of being with you. Keep a busy Tiel busy and life is just more fun!

Since you didn't provide an age, that's about as far as I can go!

He was born in August 2016 so about 9 months now. He's 2 weeks older than my other tiel but he only really does it when I try to pat them both at the same time.

I'd like to teach them both how to wear a flight harness but they complain if I touch their wings. So far Sky can step up and turn around. I started to do train them to fly to me when I call them but they don't always listen lol.

But if I separate them they just call for each other then fly over to the other. I'd really like to stop them trying to chew at the wooden framework around the windows, I've gotten toys and balsa wood for them to shred instead.

Sounds like a bit of: Hey me first and always me more!

Thanks for the age information. To early for the major change. That said, every day they are transitioning from babies to young Parrots. The growing-up and pecking order thing alway should be considered.

LOL... he's trying to mate with your hand but hasn't "figured it out" yet but eventually he will really get into it on your hand if you don't stop him. 'Nut has doing this since he was not even 4 months old. If I don't put 'Nut down while he is doing that eventually he will start doing the nasty on my hand sliding his tail back and forth if you know what I mean. I always remove 'Nut from my hand when he does this. I tell him "thanks but no thanks!"

Haha yeah Sky is a bit of a mummy's boy. When they got microchipped, the first thing Sky did when he woke up from the anaesthetic was sit on my hand and not want to get off.

Sunny is the more dominant one though he only really fights back when Sky starts the fight or if Sky is eating from Sunny's food dish.. even though the 2 food dishes are exactly the same just at different sides of the cage.

Sky is a ball of energy while Sunny is calm and placid.

Lol, I haven't had cockatiels before so I can only compare with the budgie I had. Buddy would just pull out a tissue and drop it on the floor then scrunch it up to a cylinder shape. He'd hold it with his feet then wiggle his butt. It was funny.

As for when Sky does this, I put him down and he goes back to my hand to do it again if I'm still petting Sunny.

I mostly agree with this. It seems a little young for that kind of behavior.

Our 3 cockatiel babies (9 months) 2 female, 1 male have not started this.

All birds are different. Rascal never did this until he was much older...'Nut was already getting frisky as a young baby. 'Nut has always been a lot more frisky than Rascal and still is. He is constantly tries to mate with my hand when he sees my hand, yikes!... my other tiel I had over 20 years ago I never saw him get frisky at all. All birds are different... that bird is not too young to be getting frisky and he is definitely up to something you can tell by his whole body language (even what he is doing with his beak LOL) and what he is doing in that video. It's rather obvious if you ask me :p ... I also bet he didn't want to get off your hand LOL I have to shake 'Nut off my hand when he does that. Typical boys.
