a few hours ago I had lunch and I let jazz share my Mexican rice. She wouldn't leave me alone until I gave her some. a couple hours later I noticed rice is everywhere. She kept shaking her head and rice kept being flung everywhere. I gave her some water and now she keeps shaking her head and flinging water everywhere.

I'm worried maybe something is wrong in her crop?

Hmm... Poor Jazz! Mexican food makes me think spices...maybe she has a piece of pepper stuck? Oatty always drinks excessively during bathtime...maybe try a bath with her? Maybe it will flush whatever is bothering her? Anyone else? I'm certainly no pro!

Doc says she seems fine. If there was something wrong in her crop it seemed to clear up by the time we arrived at the vet. She weighed a tiny 80 grams and just two days ago she was 85 grams at home! She was a little concerned about her watery poop she left on the table. That was new. She may have just had a water poop under stress from being handled by the vet. It happens. I'm just gonna really keep an eye on her weight. She's on the small side!

Are onions a bad thing? (I'm going on 3 mos a noob...) Is this something I have missed?

Yes a bad thing! :)

https://www.petcha.com/onions-garlic-birds/ As it says "onions, leeks, garlic or chives, as they don’t contain any nutrients that are vital for the health of our pet birds that cannot be found in other food items. Why take the risk?"

Oh and no mushrooms either.

Yes - onions, garlic, chocolate, avocados, caffeine, alcohol. Similar to the list for dogs, but birds can have grapes and dogs cannot. [emoji4]

You must be in Colorado!

Just north of Colorado, I'm in Cheyenne, Wyoming, right on the Colorado border! It's even worse today. Stop lights are completely covered in snow. driving is a mess. I grew up in Michigan though and there's no amount of snow that keeps me from driving. I'll plow right through those snow drifts passing everyone without blinking an eye. I love the snow! (of course, I have a capable 4x4)

hold on tight Jazz! WEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Oh snap, I imagine there were little onions in the Mexican rice! She really only ate a very small amount but I will keep a closer eye on what I give her for sure.
