...my little guy! I left him out and was giving him loveys and talking to him,and I casually reached around and LIGHTLY grabbed him and picked him up,to give him his meds, and he puked up some seed he had eaten
I didn't squeeze him or anything, just put my hand over his back and arms and turned him upside down to give him his meds, and TWICE he up chucked! I feel bad I upset him that bad :02::02:
He didn't get his dose tonight..I feel terrible.

Sorry to hear that :(

I always fret over handling my parakeets (not really tame) for fear of stressing them out. I saw some really good Youtube videos on handling birds and calming them down. This was a while back, can't remember the link. Search handling parrots, some are bound to come up. Good luck! Hope you both feel better.

this sounds like it is more than regurgitation.
I don't have anything much to offer.
Perhaps a call to the vet to describe what happened.
It sounds out of the ordinary enough to warrant a call seeing as he was/is a little under the weather already.

Rio (Yellow sided conure) sadly no longer with us
sounds like regurgitating to me.

I'd probably schedule a visit just in case as they're already a bit ill

Hope BB is OK? Perhaps change the time of medication and do it before cuddles and playtime as poss less excitement and stimulation. If happens again def call the AV IMO. Assuming everything else Ok with him?

Sounds like you picked-up a Parrot with a full Crop! You're likely very lucky that the other end wasn't full! :D

I don't think you should be turning him upside down to give him his meds?
