Possible for only one egg in clutch?

I have a pair which were sold as two males but, I clearly have a matched pair. The female laid an egg three days ago. What I have read so far indicates that there should be at least one addition egg laid within 48 to 72 hours. The female shows no symptoms of being egg bound. Is it possible that the first breeding can produce only one egg?

I guess it depends if they mated multiple times. I do believe birds can only carry one egg at a time. If they only did it once then there will be only 1 egg?
I have no experience with breeding.

When my lovies have been hormonal and laid eggs, there usually is more than one. On occasion though, there has only been one. I would keep an eye on her to make sure she isn't egg bound, just to be on the safe side.

It is perfectly possible to have single eggs regardless of how many times the hen has produced.
