Hi everybody!

I just wanted to share. Abby is learning to speak very quickly, and I'm quite proud of her. She's learned to say "pretty bird", "whatcha doing", and to wolf whistle, all in just about three weeks!! I only managed to get one clip of her, but I'll share below!

(Also- almost 100% positive she's male, but once again I thought the bird was the opposite gender, and the name/pronouns already stuck. Oops.)

She does doesn't she? I'm very proud of her, she's come a long way from being a tiny little baby.

This is awesome. I praise mine when he talks as he has only started a few week ago too and he seems to like it. I repeat the words he knows regular and practise with him and then add a new word in. I have only heard Tiels whistle so its really cool hearing one talk, good job x

I feel like they really try harder when you praise them, keep it up! Actually, even my female tiel talks. I'm not sure how I managed that, but tiels definitely do talk!

Jonesy a Goffins 'Too who had to be rehomed :-(

And a Normal Grey Cockatiel named BB who came home with me on 5/20/2016.
When Beebs came home with me,he still was still wearing his baby clothes and I had no clue if he was a he or she. He'd sit on my shoulder as I did computer work and every ten minutes or so I'd do the wolfie whistle thing to him..just a dozen times or so every twenty minutes. It took him maybe three days before I could tell he was actually trying to mimic it.
In less than two weeks he an old pro, anyone who heard him knew exactly what he was whistling.

Now,nearly two years later ( where the heck does the time go )
he does the Addams Family and Andy Griffith theme (mixes the two together to make his own versions lol) and says a few words..his favorite is "little boy..little boy"..he also says "hello" when I come in the room.."BB good boy" at times..and he'll yell out 'BEEBERS!" (like how I say it to him)

Happy to hear your little one is learning! They are so funny with their little voices lol.
