Hello again! If you don’t know, I gotten a one-year-old untamed cockatiel from his previous owners about three weeks ago. When I first got him, I learned that he only ate seeds, however I decided I would deal with it later once he adapted to the new environment. The owners did gave us pellets, however he would avoid them completely. Another thing is that I have no idea what brand these pellets are since they were given in a plastic container.
This is what they look like:

I would really appreciate it if anyone could recommend me some pellet brands, and any tips on conventing a stubborn cockatiel to a pellet diet. I also want him to be able to eat fruits and vegetables too if you have tricks for that! I know it seems like I’m rushing it, but I hoping to start as soon as possible!
Here’s an update on Peabo!

Easiest rout to pellets is through fresh food in my experience.

He’s a cockatiel so don’t expect him to eat fruit. Sometimes it happens but not usually. Focus on leafy greens and sprouts, maybe the occasional pepper if he will take them :)

None. My wife has one too many. Kidding!
The Missus has instructed me in cut and paste of this entry for you.:)

Harrison's Bird Foods
I feed Harrison's, supplemented by fresh healthy treats. My first, and later, my current avian vet recommended it. My bird loves the pellets now, but to get him converted, my avian vet suggested putting pellets out all day, and putting seeds (his old diet) out for two 15-minute periods a day. That would sustain him but leave him hungry enough to try new stuff. I presume the same technique could be used to get him to eat other healthy stuff, like fruits and vegetables! My guy was eating pellets in a couple of days, and now I can feed a good variety of other stuff, knowing he has the pellets as a basic. Pellets are out all day... fresh treats a few times a day. I also like Harrison's via mail because I never have to worry about out-of-date products. :)" from GaleriaGila

B&G Macaw, Galah, 5 cockatiels, 50 billion and a half budgies. We breed and do rescue. Too many to list each individual's name and age etc, but they are each individuals and loved dearly.
I've found putting the new food high up in the cage and the old food lower can also help out. :)

Try mashed sweet potatoes, they are a major hit with my tiel. :) He also likes scrambled eggs, and I've found a teensy bit can be used to hide other things like finely chopped broccoli, apples, or what have you.

Pellets look like maybe zupreem natural? My vet just on Monday advised me to change my bird away from them to Lafeebers, Rowdybush, or Harrisons. Not that zupreem is bad, just that he recommended those more highly.

My flock eats a mixture of TOPs, Harrison’s, and Roudybush. Like bug n flock, I switched to these from ZuPreem fruit blend because they’re healthier. Ducky likes all the pellets, but TOPs is his favorite. Ducky likes brown rice and other grains mixed into the veggie chop. He won’t touch any sort of fruit, but he happily enjoys carrots, broccoli, and leafy greens. Making chop really gets them to eat a better variety of veggies.

I made batches of Birdie muffins with all sorts of goodies..BB does pick at pieces of them.

Normal (or not so!) Grey Cockatiel
They look like Zupreem Natural. A good way to get them to eat veggies is disguising them in food. There are also different ways to offer them, grated, finely chopped, etc. I just grate veggies (broccoli and carrots) in Baby's grains, whether pasta or rice. At times he will get Worldly Cuisine mixes by Higgins. It has sweet potatoes in it too.

The best pellets is the one they will eat. I personally feed Zupreem Natural, but I switched from the Fruitblend. TOPS and Harrison's are good quality.

Lafeber's has Pellet-Berries. I give Baby a mix of seed and pellets but going to try out Nutriberries more. I think tiels need a mixture of seeds and pellets.
