Two cockatiels: Sharlett (Cinnamon Pied) and Data (White-Faced Pied)
(No, they didn't get a full chip but not for lack of trying! Also Data is doing fine and acting like a goofball as usual!)

I normally don't eat around my birds, I swear. But I got home today and was hungry so I decided to treat myself to some chips...while I had the birds out. I think you can all see where this is going! My birds are fascinated by chips, especially since I have only ever let them have 1/4 of a tiny crumb before (and this is very very rare) and because I tell them they can't have any.

Sharlett tried to use my hand to sneak over to the bag of chips which was near the Kleenex box she and Data love to chew on. I wish I could've taken a picture of her face when I told her I knew what she was doing! Data tried to steal them before I could put them in my mouth. (He did not succeed!)

I learned my lesson to never eat chips around them again! I tried to give them a banana but Sharlett hissed at it. Typical fids want junk food over fruit.

Reminds me of when I still shared of a bedroom with Lincoln. Set a small bowl of chips down on my bed side table so I could go to the bathroom or something and he managed climbed onto my bed and ate some while I was gone like a minute at most.

Yup just like us they would prefer junk food over healthy food. Fat, salt, and sugar taste good.:D

I feed the Rb so much better stuff than I feed myself!

I bet y'all do, too!

Good story. :)

What a stinker!!! I'm so glad I don't usually eat around my fids because heaven forbid mommy eats some chips and refuses to give them one as big as their head!

They do! For some reason though they love banana chips but are terrified of bananas. Somehow that makes sense in their world! :D

Smokey was a junk food junky :( chips, cheese doodles, triskits, little ritz crackers with peanut butter. I'd be on the couch watching tv and having a snack and she'd walk under the coffee table and peer up at me all the while shuffling from foot to foot and waving her tongue at me like saying "Yummmm...me too me too!"
How could I resist!???

They know EXACTLY how to lay on the cute charms, don't they? :D Sharlett has given begging faces to me before but Data goes straight for whatever I'm trying to put in my mouth! My fish has started begging too so I'm wondering if the kids somehow taught him that trick! ;)

My cockatiel knows what's good for her, better than I do apparently. I've offered her bits of my meals to treat her on several occasions and she has had zero interest. She's much happier with a piece of collard greens! She is a millet junkie though, so I suppose that's all the fatty stuff in moderation she needs.

Peanut is a junk food junkie and occasionally when my daughter has a snack she ends up getting a little nibble. She especially likes gold fish and Cheetos.

Can she teach my birds that skill? :p They are too fascinated by chips yet still love their greens.

Sharlett and Data like baked cheetohs too, it's pretty funny!
Peanut is such a cute name by the way!
