How's this chewing wood?

Shine loves to chew on almost everything so I thought of getting this wood for her (many of my friends bought it for their greys). Is it good enough? Also, I worry if she will start eating and ingesting the wood, and actually ingesting it is not considered as something healthy! Don’t forget that a cockatiel’s beakie is much smaller and softer than a grey’s. My boy Fang likes woven chew toys made of wicker, he completely destroys them on a regular basis but it keeps him busy

Some people on Amazon said the wood is soft enough that it gets destroyed soon, some have used it for cockatiels! The reason why I can't go for woven toys is that I don't want her to ingest fiber (and she tries to eat almost everything)! Is this toy a bad idea?

Difficult to say without being able to touch it! All I know is I got Fang a toy once quite similar with wood and native Aussie gumnuts (from eucalypt trees) on it and he completely ignores it. By definition I suppose any kind of chew toy means they’ll ingest at least something. I get mine from my local vet clinic because I know they’re safe but I understand you may not have the same option available. If you’re buying online just shop around and look for sellers/products with good reviews.

! This is made up of cotton rope, and there's a debate whether or not all rope toys are safe! If she ingests them, won't it be a harm?

Is there an avian vet maybe elsewhere in India? If so perhaps you could contact them to see if they have toys they could sell you, or at least recommend something safe? The ones you’re looking at thru Amazon are probably fine but I’m just paranoid is all.

Well that's a good idea, I'll try to contact vets if they have some toys! I've chosen a swing too, and don't know if it is good enough.. My cockatiels have never been swingers - ooh did that sound all wrong?

Anyway my guys have always been more interested in climbing or chewing or flying laps throughout the house or sitting with either me or hubby. Or getting scratches

That sounds so great ;-) She is out of her cage (we call it her room [emoji23][emoji23]) for like 4-6 hours but she's needy and never content [emoji23][emoji23] I believe more toys, swings and mirrors will make her stay in her room for a little longer [emoji18][emoji18] So, just wish me good luck [emoji120][emoji120]

Something to keep her occupied when she can’t be with you is essential, you don’t want a bored birdie! Thank you for being such a dedicated birdie daddy I’m sure she appreciates it!
