Hi everyone! So here's what happened.

Recently I got a baby cockatiel ( about 1,5 months old) and I noticed that the last couple days he is all puffed up (if you know what I mean)

Also I got him from a breeder and he was handfed. His droppings especially yesterday were pretty weird, I mean they were sort of brown but very liquid. Today they are still pretty liquid but more of a greenish color.

Do you think he is sick?? Help!

It's Saturday, so many a avin vets are ioen, so yes I would take him in!! Change in dropping, abd change in behavior, being fluffed, yes sounds sick. What do you feed, do you have other birds? Young freshly weaned abd in a new home birds are the most vulnerable.

Never a bad idea to see an avn, but did you change anything in his diet? stools change with diet. Like if clark drinks some OJ, yeah i know he's going to over-drink and make pee-pee poop. Puffed up might just mean content.....or he's chilly or...

I've known my bird for like 4 years now...and would notice anything out of the ordinary....if it's out of the ordinary for "you" error on the side or caution and see a vet.

AGAIN if it's out of the ORDINARY FOR YOU AND YOUR BIRD...see an avn. what you describe here to me is nothing, for you it could be everything....you learn more the longer you care for your bird. Always take the side of caution if you don't know.

Thanks for the response! Yes I do have other birds. To be specific I have two budgies. However that are healthy AND I haven't put the cockatiel together with them, in fact I quaranteed them.

As for the food, I feed him with a mix of seeds and random fruits and vegetables as well as eggs. For example yesterday I gave him an egg, some seeds and a spinach leaf.

Thanks for the response! Yes I did change his diet. I'm fact I have him fruits (such as apples) vegetables (such as spinach) that he had NEVER tried before since he is very young and his breeder wasn't giving him any fruits or vegetables. In addition I gave him a new mix of seeds. So yes I did change his diet.

Now when it comes to what is "normal" for him I am not sure as I only have him for a week now. However I think that the last couple of days he is more puffed up.

When it comes to newly-weaned baby birds who have just left their breeder (where there are not only other babies but also many adult breeder birds), it's ALWAYS a good idea to take them right to either a Certified Avian Vet or an Avian Specialist for an overall Wellness-Exam that MUST INCLUDE a Fecal Culture/Gram-Stain, because it's extremely common for a just-weaned baby that was hand-fed to have GI Tract Infections, both Bacterial and Fungal. And that isn't really any knock on the breeder, as it can happen to anyone (although 1 and 1/2 months old is quite young fully-wean a Cockatiel, usually they are not fully-weaned until they are at least 10-12 weeks old, even Budgies usually take 8-10 weeks to fully-wean)...He's obviously eating solid food, so that's good, but usually breeders will keep them a bit longer to make sure they don't have any infections/illnesses, so that's why a Wellness-Exam that includes a Fecal Culture/Gram-Stain is a must...

With runny/loose droppings it can be due to the fresh veggies/fruit, but it's when you combine the droppings with the being puffed-up frequently AND the fact that this is newly-weaned baby that is SO YOUNG that I say "Okay, he needs a Fecal done ASAP"...So I highly suggest that you find the closest CAV or Avian Specialist Vet to you (if you haven't already got one) and get him in ASAP for a full Wellness-Exam that must include a Fecal Culture/Gram-Stain, and if they don't just do the Fecal then you need to request/demand it...
