Chessie's habit

I finally got it on camera, she does this from time to time. Just lifts up the water bowl edge and lets the bowl rest on her bottom beak. Sits there for awhile then just let's go. Isn't she just so dang Adorable?!

It could be a kind of begging thing.
If your bird is young, say 1 year or less he could be asking his dish to feed him.
Beyond that I don't have a clue. It is cute though.

Chessie is a real beauty, I love her coloring. I agree with texsize, it looks like a begging behavior but maybe just playing, either way it's really cute.

Well, she does it to her water bowl, and it had fresh water so I dunno. I thought maybe she liked the feeling of weight on her bottom beak, maybe trying to grind it down or something. we have no idea how old she is. Someone caught her outside and took her to the shelter and that's where we got her. We have NO prior info from before her life with us. She was already a fantastic flyer, muscles all toned, so I would think shes at least 2 years old. but she could also be 15 years old. we have no idea lol. Shes my sweetie and we are starting to get really close. She likes to chew on my ears.
