.. y'all know the indifference BB has shown to Uncle David since we moved here  I must give credit to David however,it's not for lack of trying! Every night he'll sit next to Beebs house and talk to him and BB will come right to his house window and chirp and chat to David, but then run and hide in his "box" ( That's what David calls BB's tidy bowl food bowl) Poor Dave gets a little frustrated and tells BB "ok fine,go hide in your box:eek:"
However, one night when both kids were out and fluffboy was on my knee and my cell phone rang BB of course got spooked and took off flying and yelling his head off as he zoomed around the living room and kitchen, eventually landing on David, telling him all his problems, and would NOT come to me
As Lord Triggs had posted.."did you see that? He tried to kill me! He had a gun! More millet please...head scratches!!" lol.

Well last night I was feeling kind of punk and laid down on my bed with the tv on and fell asleep. David was in the living room and I woke to go to the bathroom only to find David, with Beebers on his shoulder, and BB whistling his wolfie whistle into the mirror!

I was still sleepy and said 'well it's about time" and I giggled and went back to bed (will ask Dave tonight on how all of this transpired!) I'm assuming because I was nowhere to be found or heard from,BB took David as his only option to be with and talk to.

If that's the case, then maybe a couple times a week i'll hide in the computer room and let BB try and interact with his Uncle. As soon as Beebers see's or hears me,its all over. He starts calling for me or if he sees me,he is making a B line for me. ( I guess he really loves his Poppy )

Okay, but when Beebs turns tail and chooses the new shoulder over yours. Just remember to take care of what you wish for. :D

Excellent progress with Uncle David and the Beebs. What a great update to a success story. Looks like Beebs had his own plans all along just needed a little time.

Well, all I can say is that The Beebs can do no wrong. Period. Whoever's cyber-butt I gotta kick to reinforce that, I'll do it.

Be careful of that bathroom mirror, for no cockatiel can resist its siren call!

Last night was clearly a BB night :D We all were in the living room watching the classic 1947 version of A Miracle On 34th Street. The kids were out,Amy on her play top and BB on my knee of course. He was chirping, preening, fluffing up and just being groovy. He'd climb my arm and whistle in my ear, climb down my other arm and sit contently on my hand without trying to do the chaa chaa on it. He'd take flight, fly in circles in the living room, then into the kitchen, down the hall to my bedroom, turn around and come back and land on Amys roof top and munch on nutraberry crumbles. THEN he'd take a short flap and land on Davids SHOULDER and give him a couple wolfie whistles and come back to me and ask for skritches, sit for about half hour and do the same thing again.

David was so excited lol.."He actually landed on ME!!" And he whistled to me!!
"And boy he knows how to fly good! So glad you didn't shorten his sleeves!!" Beebs did this about three times during the course of the evening. No screaming..no frantic flap flaps. David said " I think he's finally coming around to me!" I secretly had a very large :D on my face. Good boy Fluffboy...Good boy!

haha BB working the charm. I'm still amazed at the turn around he's had from when I first heard of him being an unwell little guy who hated people cause he hates being given medicine.

It must be quite a journey going from Amy and Zon's whom you've known all your life suddenly to this little grey squeaker half the size of the ones you've known before
