Currently I have two Budgies, Sam a blue/violet budgie and Charlie Our Green budgie :D but we are looking to get at least one if not 2 more and a cockatiel!! Update when it happens!
So im planning on building a couple of cages for my birds. One is an aviary for our budgies, the other is a cage for a cockatiel we would like to get. Recently i found 2 available as a bonded pair, and while we where planning for one, we'd hate to break them up, but want to make sure the cage is big enough. The main cage they would be in is going to be about 42 inches length, 20 inches depth and 24 inches height. Then if they get along with the budgies, eventually i would like to put them in the aviary which is about 64 inches length, 22 inches depth, and 48 inches height. (Currently we only have 2 budgies but plan to get a third i think). I want to make sure the smaller cage would be okay for them however in case they do not get along with the budgies and cant be housed in the big cage. I do plan on having them out in the room with me for at least a few hours out of the day when i can) is it even recommended to get 2 cockatiels as opposed to 1? They are about 6 month old hand raised/ tamed. :yellow1: :grey:
