26 Smuggled cockatiels seized in Turkey Bulgaria border

Anyone from Turkey or Bulgaria here. I do not understand why Cockatiels need to be smuggled across International borders. I always assumed that they are bred extensively in every country in the World including in Turkey.

Wow..I'm glad they were sent to a vet. Hopefully they'll be fine and find some good homes.

You are from Maldives? That is nice. Been there once. How is the bird keeping scene there? Are there local breeders or you import birds?

There are a few in my island breeders, my father is also a breeder. Also my uncle, who breeds birds in another island I haven't met much people that keep birds in Maldives but the people which I have met take good care of their birds. I've also seen people from videos that take good care of their parrots. I haven't seen any parrots that are unhappy in their homes so far. Oh and it's illegal here to import certain species of birds
