New member of the flock!

Meet Ike everyone! Near as I can tell I'm going with male, think he may be a pearl, his wings show faint pearl looking markings. He is approximately 14 years old and he needed a change in life, I won't call him a rescue because he came from a good home, but circumstances made my home more ideal for him. He seems to be taking well to me, this picture was taken a few minutes after getting him home, so I think the path to a tight bond are well under way. Better pictures soon to come!

That's how I feel about Pikachu , was cared for wonderfully! But circumstances made me home w better place too, live how you phrased that!

He is settling in well, already talking to me, wolf whistling, says "step up" and nibbled at my fingers for neck and head scratches. Picked him up a treat to help him gain comfort, and I must have picked the right one, he loves it.

The only "bad" thing I can see so far, I think I'm the first to ever give him fresh chop, he got excited about the bowl, but hasn't tried any yet. Only had him home for a few hours and he is fitting in better by the minute, my other two cockatiels are calling him already. Cage cleanings are on the schedule for tonight, his needs it bad. His wings are currently clipped, however if he stays as sweet as he has been he will likely get to grow them out, I don't know if he even knows how to fly, so time will tell. I'm glad I contacted his previous owners, and they have communicated similar feelings about him coming to live here, hard to let him go, but they are comforted knowing he will be with us the rest of his days!

May be hard to see, but there is a very faint "pearl" look to his wings, and he has a white ring on the outside of his yellow-ish cheeks almost like a whiteface, but still has yellow and orange colors. I'd love to figure out at least what is visual mutations are. I'm still having issues posting the video I took of him mimicking, and I can only delete one picture giving me room to post a single picture at a time. I could really use some help clearing space so I can post pictures and videos.

P.S. wife has officially made it Mike instead of ike, she didn't like the name much, made us both think Tina Turner, for all the wrong reasons.

Let Mike (formerly ike) meet the other two while I folded laundry tonight, everyone was singing, chirping and whistling to me, let me tell you, three excited cockatiels right in your ears is a bit on the loud side!
