Like the chop saw!

Assure that you use a light weight wall covering as dry board can overcome lightweight wall structure. Consider 1/8" wood wallboard, commonly comes with a maple veneer.

Be very careful and double check you have proper Heating/AC venting in that area. It needs to be year around supported as stall air is highly likely in basements without it.

There are some upsides and major downsides to basement bird rooms, take great care to assure that the door is rarely, if ever closed...

It's finished. I used stainless steel mesh. Its a finished basement with heat. Our bedrooms are downstairs. The 4th pic is the finished product. So far its AWESOME. They love being able to be out when I'm not able to bring them upstairs to their playstand and stuff. :)

Yup, missed that, Sorry!

Looks great!

Note: Check you furnace filter type. You may want to look at a filter rating above standard to keep the furnace and home a bit cleaner. We have a 3" (new furnace) with a higher filter rating and change it out monthly and we only have one (but very busy) Amazon.

Again, love your chop saw...

Welcome back, how are you and the flock?

Not too bad, recently took in a lovebird that had biting issues. We are working on it, and she now trusts me to pick her up, but wont step up. I endured lots of bites getting this far lol

Nice to hear, you are still the good Samaritan! Hope those bites will turn into gentle pecks on the cheek!

Definally want to have clean air coming in as you can have air balance/airflow issues aka stall air, especially in basements. Also insulate before installing final drywall, thicker drywall helps as well as you could have cold spots during the winter time.

Nice to see your flock doing well. Lovebird in time will stop bitting and will seek attention
