A Lutino cockatiel
:yellow1: Hey Guys!
I'm a new bird owner and I have some questions about my Lutino cockatiel, Cuco. I've realized that he has kinda regressed back to his aggresive self from when I first had gotten him. He's allowed me to give him head scratches but other times hes been snippy and will do this a lot. I've tried looking up why he was like this. It said that he could be cage dependent. I try to spend as much time with him besides school and sports. Do you guys have any tips for me? They'd be very helpful and appreciated.

First of all that's a very pretty bird you have there. Was he an older bird when you got him? I'm only guessing you haven't had him very long since you said your a new bird owner. It may very well be that it's just taking him some time to get settled into his new home. Another problem with most all birds are the hormonal issues. That and the molting season is very fast approaching. When birds molt there feathers, it can be uncomfortable and itchy for them. Hence the reason he may seem cranky and nippy at times. Have you tried giving him a bath with a spray bottle yet? Often times that helps with there discomfort during molting. At the very least keep a bowel of water in his cage so he can bath on his own if he doesn't like the spray bottle.
