My cockatiel is being very aggressive to the rest of my family. I am at college right now and had to leave him at home. He is being very aggressive and doesn't want to come out of his cage or be pet. Once he is out of his cage he is happier but he still won't let them pet him. All he wants to do is sit on their shoulder and be left alone. When I was home over chirstmas he was really nice to me and wanted to see me and let me pet him. He is really bonded to me and will defend his cage or play area against anybody else trying to pick him up. Is there anything I can suggest for them to do?

I told them to give him millet when they take him out of the cage and that worked for a little bit. I just don't know what to do. It make me feel like I don't know anything......

They should be the ones on here learning on their own. How long has it been since they've been caring for him?

my mom and sister both care for them and aren't really skilled with computers at all. They have been caring for all my birds since the beginning of last semester. He wasn't too keen on them caring for him but he was ok. My mom is has had birds before and currently has a lovebirds. After I left for this semester, he got worse. She takes very good care of them, but Einstein is just being a little monster.
